Your Responsibilities
- Research on biogeochemical processes in soils, in particular how fertilizer application affects the nitrogen cycle and contributes to the emission of air pollutants such as nitrogenous gases
- Co-development of a novel method for long-term monitoring of pollutants and assessment of soil and air quality
- Participation in setting up and conducting experiments under controlled conditions in the laboratory (measurement of soil gas emissions, application of analytical and molecular genetic methods)
- Participation in setup and supervision of experiments in the field (monitoring soil and air pollutants on agricultural land)
- Participation in the institute's organizational and administrative tasks
Your Profile
- Completed doctoral studies in the field of natural sciences
- Interest in biogeochemical processes in soil, soil gas emissions, biodiversity, soil health, and air quality
- Experience with gas flow measurement methods (desirable)
- Very good reading and writing skills in English
- Ability for independent research work
- Organizational skills
- Competence to work in international and interdisciplinary team
- High commitment and motivation for scientific work
